Lean Mean Fighting Machine

The team from ad agency Lean Mean Fighting Machine dreamt up their challenge one night on their annual summer holiday.

We asked ourselves whether we could we better the clay Lionel Richie head that the girl in the ‘Hello’ video makes, if we ourselves were blindfolded. We set about finding somewhere to achieve our slightly strange goal. City Lit didn’t bat an eyelid at our request. In fact they laughed heartily and showed us their well equipped clay studio that could fit our entire team and camera crew. On the day, the patient instructors gave us a tutorial and taught us the modeling skills we would need. We put our blindfolds on for over 3 hours and went about creating our Lionels, the results of which can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuxVlY_CrLc

DDB London

Advertising agency DDB London has won an impressive number of awards – including ‘Agency of the year’ – thanks to its ability to find the most effective method of connecting brands with customers.

City Lit has worked closely with DDB London to provide some appropriately creative staff training. It was Talent Manager Polly Barnes who selected City Lit “because of the huge choice available, and the fact that they can offer some really alternative training solutions. As a creative agency it is important that we also think creatively about the training we provide for our staff. For example, a series of life drawing sessions enabled our digital creative team to reawaken their passion for off-line ideas and discover new sources of inspiration.”

Manning Gottlieb OMD

Manning Gottlieb OMD is a communications agency with clients including Sony PlayStation, COI, Waitrose and French Connection.

Everything we do is based around Continually Creating Difference – for our clients, for our agency and for our staff – and what better way to create a difference for us all than by offering a whole range of courses for people to take part in. With the help of City Lit we’ve run Pilates, Spanish, French, Drawing and Photography courses and in many cases with such success that we’ve ended up running them 2 or 3 times. It’s proved a great way for people not only to do something a bit different, but also for them to find inspiration through creativity and learning that they have then been able to apply to their work.
