What is the course about?

ECDL Extra is designed to assess the core applications required in today’s world. It is made up of four modules: Word processing software; spreadsheet software; presentation software; and improving productivity using IT. If you pass, you will receive a full level 2 ITQ certificate from the British Computer Society.

What level is the course?

You should have achieved ECDL Level 1 or have equivalent experience.

What will the course cover? (contents, themes, projects)

The ECDL Syllabus 4 is designed to cover the key concepts of computing, their practical applications and their use in the workplace and society in general. It is broken down into eight modules.

This course covers the final five modules which comprise Level 2:

You must have also completed Level 1 in order to obtain the full ECDL certificate.

How will I be taught?

Each student has their own computer.
Presentations will be made using computers, whiteboard, overhead screen and printed notes.
Step by step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.
