What is the course about?
Do you want to train note-takers for your organisation? You will need teaching experience and knowledge of the needs of disabled students. You can then teach the course accredited by London Open College Network (LOCN), or you can use it for your own tailormade note-taking courses at your organisation.
What level is the course?
You should have note-taking experience, or experience of co-ordinating an academic support service. You will need a teaching qualification, or equivalent experience, and you should be aware of disability issues in education.

- How to plan and run a LOCN course
- How to teach note-taking
- Useful teaching methods
- How to assess students
- How to teach technical skills and personal skills
- Information about disabled students and the context of working with disabled students
- Promoting good working practice in an educational setting.
