What is the course about?
Microsoft Outlook is a desktop information management program that facilitates the organisation and communication of tasks. Today, most people have an awareness of email, however there is much more to Outlook than this. You will learn to send, receive, read, delete and file emails as well as add, save and delete attachments; create a mail merge; take advantage of the diary to organise and manage time and schedule tasks to achieve objectives.
What level is the course?
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to fully utilise the features of Outlook. No prior knowledge of Outlook is necessary, however students should have a working knowledge of Windows.

- Overview of Outlook features.
- Setting message formats.
- Creating email messages.
- Setting message priority.
- Reading, replying and deleting emails.
- Filing email and folder management.
- Attaching files to emails.
- Opening, reading and saving attachments.
- Adding, finding and deleting contacts.
- Sending email to contacts.
- Creating mail merge from contacts list.
- Adding, updating and deleting tasks.
- Adding appointments to the diary.
- Inserting recurring appointments.
How will I be taught?
Each student will have their own computer. Presentations will be made using computers, whiteboard, overhead screen and printed notes.
Step-by-step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.
