What is the course about?
This highly participative course will help you build confidence in delivering successful presentations that engage your audience. Observing trained actors, you will have the opportunity to comment on presentation style and delivery and then in groups, and individually, practice and get feedback on your own approach.
What level is the course?
Anyone who has to give presentations and would value feedback in a supportive and stimulating environment.
What will the course cover? (contents, themes, projects)
- Observation of actors delivering a live presentation with an opportunity for you to give comments and feedback
- Ten rules of presenting
- Group work – writing and presenting your own presentation on “Giving Great Presentations”, with feedback
- Five styles of presenting
- Individual work – pre-prepared 5-minute presentations with feedback.
How will I be taught?
Whole class teaching, pair group work, practical exercises, demonstrations, discussions, presenting information, question and answer, role-play.
