Careers in care work
Careers in care work courses at City Lit are ideal if you would like to work in the adult care sector, or if you already work or volunteer in adult care and wish to improve your skills and employability.
Why study with us?
The City Lit team is committed to meeting the needs of every candidate. We are fortunate to have a comprehensive range of occupational skills within the team and can offer the majority of the optional units. This means that candidates are offered a ‘tailor- made’ route to achieve their qualification. We strive to adapt our learning resources and assessment tools to meet the needs of the candidate, the service users and the workplace. The assessment process is meaningful and supports candidates to develop their skills and potential.
We liaise very closely with the City Lit skills for life team to ensure that the programmes support candidates who have specific learning needs. City Lit is one of the few assessment centres that offer the diploma to candidates who are not working but have a substantial voluntary role. Many of our candidates who were volunteers have progressed into paid employment after completing their courses.
If you would like to discuss your needs further, please call the department on 0207 4922521
