We will explore the methods and techniques to do this, using your own images, photos, movies, sound files and text. You will learn about technical issues such as domain names, hosting sites, creating hyper links, publishing to the .Mac server and managing multiple sites. You will be encouraged to create a unique design aesthetic, rather than relying on templates.
Introduction to the main features of iWeb.
How to set up a .Mac account.
Introduction to the iWeb environment.
How to create a site using templates.
Importing images, audio and video files into iWeb.
Creating text, shapes, buttons and links.
Publishing your site to .Mac server.

No previous knowledge is required, but you will need experience using an Apple Mac. You should be able to follow spoken instructions, read written instructions and information, and discuss work with your tutor.
Each student has their own computer.
Presentations will be made using computers, whiteboard, overhead screen and printed notes.
Step by step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
