You'll learn how to create, manage, and promote your own blog. The amazing Web 2.0 tool allows you to interact, share ideas, and collaborate with others from home, at work, or in a classroom.
We'll get to know the totally free web-based tool called e-blogger, and almost anything else you would want to know about blogging. We'll also critique few blogs and figure out what makes them work successfully. You'll learn the best way to search for and locate blogs on topics that interest you and you'll discover ways to creatively use blogs to express yourself, teach or even promote a product. By the end you should be able to start participating in the world of blogs and web 2.0 by writing, sharing and publishing your own blog.

This course is for beginners but you should be able to use a keyboard and mouse and understand the principles of file management. You should also be able to follow spoken instructions, read written instructions and information, and discuss work with your tutor.
Each student has their own computer. Presentations will be made using computers, interactive whiteboard, overhead screen and printed notes. Step by step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
