This course focuses on advanced methods of data management through powerful Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) tools.
Performing a mail merge to a selected customer.
Implementing a menu structure.
Creating and customising a combo box with and without using wizard.
Writing a macro.
Actions and methods.
Multiple actions.
Creating Visual Basic modules using a variety of commands.
Using variables in Visual Basic modules.
Form controls and properties.
Customised forms.
Write programs to maximise Access functionality.
Write VBA programs.
Utilise advanced statements and macros to automate repetitive, tedious or complex tasks.
This course is suitable for people who would like to use VBA to enhance their usage of Access for more professional results. A thorough understanding of table design and field properties, forms and report design, advanced queries and basic macros is expected.
You should also be able to follow spoken and written instructions and be comfortable carrying out mathematical calculations.
Each student has their own computer.
Presentations will be made using computers, interactive whiteboard, overhead screen and printed notes.
Step by step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.
