This course will give you an introduction to the basic concepts and practical skills necessary to start building your own simple 4 to 5 pages Flash web site combining text, images and interactive elements.
The focus of this introductory course is on using Flash for the creation of visually attractive vector and animation-based simple websites. We will look at creating artwork in Flash as well as importing artwork and images into Flash. We also work with text, creating simple navigation systems, and adding basic interactivity.
Use the basic drawing and animation functions of Flash.
Create buttons and simple navigation in Flash.
Use Photoshop to prepare graphical elements for Flash projects.
Transfer assets between Flash and Photoshop.
Plan and organize your Falsh web site.
Combine buttons, text, vector graphics and simple animations into a basic Flash website.
Publish Flash into a web page.
Upload your Flash website to the web using Dreamweaver.
No previous knowledge of Flash is required but you will need experience using an Apple Mac. It would also be useful, but not essential, for you to have some experience of basic webpage design. You should also be able to follow spoken instructions, read written instructions and information, and discuss work with your tutor.
