New courses starting in September
Level 3 certificate in learning support (communication support work)Have you already worked as a communication support worker, but without a professional qualification? Or have you passed BSL level 2 or 3 and want to develop a new career in communication support work? Then this qualification could be just right for you!
A high quality team of D/deaf and hearing tutors will deliver this new part-time course, accredited by Signature, and you will have the chance to interact with experienced practitioners based at the Centre.
This course comprises 8 units, taken over 2 years. The first four units will be available in 2011-12 and further details of these are available here:
Preparing to support learning
Learning support in lifelong learning contexts
Accessible English for D/deaf and D/deafblind people
Clear speech and notetaking
Each unit is paid for separately, so it is possible to attend units on a one-off basis for professional development reasons.
A wide range of complementary courses is also provided, including BSL up to NVQ level 6.
