To develop improvisation skills, know its usefulness in theatre and its importance in acting. To further explore how to improvise and therefore act truthfully.
Developing character and relationship, status work, Meisner work, self exploration, and group scenes. Developing understanding of scene and story structure, in order to be able to improvise in more prolonged formats.
Develop an improvised scene structure to tell a truthful story
Respond to fellow performers in order to perform a truthful and well- acted scene
Perform scenes in a variety of acting styles whilst responding freely in character, moment to moment.
Ideal for those who have completed Acting through improvisation and want to develop their learning and take improvisation to the next level.
In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:
Listen and respond to instructions and feedback.
Take part in class discussions.
Listen to scene partners and respond to their emotional offers.
Work within groups and pairs safely.
Practical work, exercises. No text study but pure improvisation. Some homework may be set.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing. A sense of play. Bravery. Sensitivity.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
