Continuing from the Intermediate 1, the course aims to move technical and storytelling skills to a more advanced standard.
The skills and theory covered in the previous courses (DM047) will be developed through practical exercises and projects. You will have the opportunity to develop, shoot and edit a number of short films designed to illustrate storytelling styles, and to vary the message through changing shots, sound and editing. There will be the opportunity to revisit theory and practical techniques as questions arise. A particular aim of the course is to develop an understanding of how to shoot efficiently for the edit.
The course runs in conjunction with “Find Your Way in TV Presenting”, and overlaps for an hour each week to provide an opportunity to work with students learning complementary skills. Please note that filming will take place outside when the opportunity arises.
