Students whose first language is not English will need to be fully competent in speaking, reading and writing in English.
In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:
• Speak English fluently.
• Communicate in group situations.
• Give and receive constructive feedback.
• Read and respond to a range of texts.
• Take course notes for your own use.
The course will comprise talks, discussion, demonstrations and practice in structuring and delivering a persuasive presentation and business ‘pitch’. During the course, participants will have the opportunity to work on a presentation and ‘pitch’ their choice. You will have the opportunity to organise powerful supporting material.
All materials are devised and produced by the tutor.
Yes. Before you can enrol on this course, you need to have an advisory interview with the relevant department. Without this the enrolment team will be unable to process your enrolment. Please contact the department to arrange your interview, or to find out about drop-in sessions.
You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses.
