- dance the new steps into a routine, which could be used in any dancing arena
- dance the lead and follow the routine with different learners in the class
- dance the routine with correct footwork and to the correct tempo of tango music
- incorporate staccato action when dancing the steps.
The course is aimed at beginners and also learners that need to brush up on their existing dancing skills.
In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:
• Follow spoken instructions
• Use numbers to recognise rhythms within the dance.
• Work within groups and pairs safely.
The tutor will demonstrate the steps and give verbal instructions. You will practise dancing the steps with a partner and then to music. There will be no work outside the class but you will be given handouts about the steps taught, so will be able to practise the steps at home.
No other costs involved but learners are advised to wear loose fitting clothes, leather soled shoes, no trainers, flip-flops or slingback shoes and to bring a drink.
No.
You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. You will be asked to complete an ongoing personal progression form on each session, so that any concerns can be addressed quickly.
Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses.
