Playfulness is a guiding principle for the clown. Above all else, play is extremely personal, optimistic and often very stupid! This course will offer ways in which the performer can use games to discover their own physical expressiveness and playfulness and to use this to establish a direct, honest relationship with the audience.
The rules of play; simplicity and complicity; playfulness; spontaneity and timing; finding the focus; and physical and spatial awareness.
Be relaxed in front of an audience.
Be able to enjoy yoursef on stage.
Develop a simple relationship with audience and objects.
Be aware of your own stupidity and how to present it.

• Listen and respond to instructions and feedback.
• Take part in class discussions.
• Read a script and/or related text.
• Work within groups and pairs safely.
