Want to get 'toned up’ as an actor? This workshop is aimed at your acting muscles not your abs. Learn how to stay sharp, on your toes and ready for any challenge, and develop your presence and power on stage.
The organic actor – working physically, emotionally and imaginatively. Targeted training exercises to keep the actor sharp. Drawing on Eastern performance traditions to enhance your abilities and power.
Have an enhanced sense of personal creativity.
Employ a range of specific exercises for creating 'presence' on stage.
Begin to release your 'power' as a performer.
Suitable for actors at all levels of experience.
In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:
• Listen and respond to instructions and feedback.
• Communicate clearly in discussion and drama practice.
• Read and respond to a variety of text.
• Give and receive constructive feedback.
• Take notes.
• Work within groups and pairs safely.
This is a practical course involving group, pair and solo work. There will also be some discussion around key issues.
