Course outline

What is the course about?

Enabling you to create a focus on your career or life and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Identifying strategies that can help you get into good habits and understand what might hold you back from achieving your goals. Being aware of the possibilities to change, and what that change might bring.

What topics will we cover?

Establishing where you are now, where you want to get to, what might hold you back and how to overcome it. Then creating a personal action plan.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

- evaluate your current life realities
- set a goal properly, knowing that it is the right one for you
- come away with an action plan for the next month.

You will become aware of the possibilities of change, and will discover how focusing on what you want can be exciting when broken down into small chunks.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Basic, no previous experience is required.
In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:
• Listen and respond to instructions and feedback.
• Take part in class discussions.
• Read a script and/or related text.
• Work within groups and pairs safely.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Individual exercises to elicit each of your own issues, with group discussion after each one.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

No other costs involved. You will receive a client pack with the full exercises used on the course.

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

No.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.

How will I be able to give my views on the course?

Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses.
