Appearing in front of a camera can be a nerve-wracking experience. Learn how to present yourself to camera with confidence and authority in this supportive, practical and enjoyable course. Acquire the skills to project yourself effectively in on-camera interviews, presentations and recorded events. Learn how to deal with journalists and their questions, give an effective and confident on-camera interview and manage contact with the media. In this small, friendly class we shall work intensively together as an ensemble, building group confidence and authority.
Voice, breathing and body language skills, getting to know the camera, building a relationship with the camera, using Autocue, preparing for interviews, dress and presentation skills, writing for the camera, self-presentation, confidence and assertiveness skills.
Present yourself to camera with confidence, style and warmth, give a confident interview on camera.
Know how to deal with journalists.
Answer questions on camera.
Read from Autocue.
Write a short piece about you and your business.
Beginners. Students will need to be fully fluent in both spoken and written English, be able to read short written pieces at sight, take direction and follow instructions.
Individually, in pairs and groups. All work will take place in class.
A notebook and writing implement.
