This is the second time I have enrolled on the Performance Lab course at the City Lit. Each time has far exceeded my expectations, The company of actors who are drawn to enrolling in this class are as diverse as the material used, or indeed the exercises one participates in.

The class numbers are such that one gets enough group/shared time, but also individual tuition as and when required. What I found so special is the attention paid to the detail of the work, and the mutual support from both the tutor to the students and the students to each other. The caring and nurturing environment is absolutely professional and a very high standard is always encouraged.

Feedback from ones tutor and fellow students is ongoing throughout the course and is extremely useful in identifying both areas of strength, and areas one needs to develop further.
The very nature of drama is heavily reliant upon trust, mutual respect and courage, this was very much in evidence on this course, I highly recommend it to anyone who has a serious interest in honing their skills as an professional actor.

A course which helps identify personal strengths and weaknesses of the actor. A safe yet challenging space to explore, play and develop aswell as understanding more about the craft. The tutor has a passion and commitment to this craft which helps you take risks to be bold, brave and adventurous. A transformative learning curve.

This is a great weekly class where professional actors can hone our skills, experiment with scenes, monologues, classic text, prepare an audition text... or anything we would like to focus on. The tutor once again brings the best out of each of us.
