Highly recommended course, practical and insightful. Structured exercises get the group to start writing and performing from the start. Supportive environment enabled the whole group to leave enthused and inspired.

This short one day course was an opportunity to discover your ability to perform poetry. It gathered about ten individuals with varied experience in reading and performing poetry and so with different degrees of confidence. The teacher was very professional, explaining to us clearly the different dimensions to poetry reading and how to go about using your voice and feeling and evoking the poem. We began sitting together in a circle and taking turns in reading poetry. And we then finally moved on to standing up and speaking from a microphone. My only critique is that not enough time was spent working on the particular needs and difficulties of each student. So this short one day course could only give a small taste of what it is to begin to discover one's ability to perform poetry. This course then would either ideally be with a more limited amount of students, or last more than just a few hours in one day.
