Well I have done this course four times, it's that good! For me the experience was an end in itself. The tutor and the engineer (in effect a very important second tutor) have a wonderfully light touch underpinned by a deep professionalism. I might even do it again. BUT don't do it if you are not prepared fully to do your preparation. You owe it to your fellow students as much as to yourself.

An extremely well structured course led by a very knowledgable tutor and fantastic techy-guy. Course is run under strict guidelines and this is needed to ensure all the students get the utmost from it. Students need to be well prepared, not afraid of asking questions and supportive of each other - this way they will learn a lot and get even more from the course.

This is essentially an opportunity to create a commercial voice-reel. One tutor is an excellent sound engineer with lots of good input and the other is very encouraging and knowledgeable. It's important to work on (rehearse) your voice piece in advance, as there is real time pressure on the day, as the weekly recording session is limited to just 15 minutes, which allows you a maximum of 2 takes for each piece. The course is great fun and the feedback from the tutors and fellow students invaluable. Also highly addictive; I did the course twice!
