Making a professional voicereel.
Preparing yourself and appropriate material to record a successful voicereel. Part of the preparation involves working with fellow students to record some radio drama. You will then record a series of short pieces of your own choosing such as dramatic monologues, commercials, narrations and audiobooks. Selecting recordings suitable to be edited for your voicereel.
Record material of a high standard for inclusion on a voicereel.
Identify appropriate market sectors for your voicereel
Critically evaluate your own and other students’ work.
An advanced course for students who are experienced in audio work or have completed two or more level 1 audio classes (Acting for Radio 1; Rehearse and Record a Radio Drama; Working in Voiceovers; Radio Presenting).
In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:
• Speak English fluently and clearly.
• To read a script accurately.
• Give and receive constructive feedback.
• Take notes.
By recording, playing back and critiquing your work. You will also help your fellow students and will therefore need to attend for the full duration of each session. You will need to select and thoroughly prepare pieces for your voicereel.
You will need to provide £2 to cover cost of media (e.g CDs), postage and packaging.
