For me, this course did exactly what it says on the tin- and more. It was fun, delivered at just the right pace, and inspired me to progress to further study. From the outset, the tutor gave us feedback on how best to address our individual difficulties- these varied throughout the class from pronunciation problems to talking too quickly, too quietly or with a lack of confidence. We then went on to cover the full range of speech sounds in the English language, with the tutor demonstrating the various ways that sounds can and should be produced for maximum clarity and ease of understanding. We quickly bonded as a group and shared in the fun and challenge of speaking out and listening to each other making real progress week by week. I am told my own speech is now far clearer, which in turn has given me more confidence in my voice. An added bonus- as a Scot I can now make myself understood here in London!
