Excellent short course and introduction to technical voice production. The content was relevant and interesting. The tutor and the tutees approached each session with enthusiasm and humour. The atmosphere for learning was relaxed and supportive. Everyone enjoyed it and took away useful strategies for voice control.

This is a great course. It really makes a difference, especially if you do the homework.

An intensive and highly adventurous course for a non actor to take. I'd expected lots of luvvies but found none, instead people from all walks of life - the only common denominator was a desire to explore, open and develop vocally. And that we did and then some!
Each week we looked at specific elements of voice production with lots of practice in group work and individually, all with feedback and carefully selected material to work with. Each week included revision before moving on to the new topic.
Although this course was hard going and the only really productive way to develop is to do the exercises between classes, its an immensely rewarding process and the knowledge, patience and expertise of the tutor(s), along with the enthusiasm and commitment of the rest of the group made it a very special and highly valuable experience.
Recommended for anyone who wants to take control of, and make the most of, their voice.

Very professional and knowledgeable. (The tutor) was quite thorough and yet helpful.

This is not a course you can take lightly. For me the content was quite heavy since I had zero knowledge on how voice actually works. And so this course is not for babies but for those who want to seriously learn and apply technique of general voice work. You'll see how much you can do with your voice/speech/articulation/tone/breating (etc) once you learn how to apply the techique provided in this course. I've learnt so much from it, and I'm really looking forward to Technical Voice Production 2. Dedicated and inspiring teacher, not to forget.

A excellent, effective course along with being great fun.

Personally I would have preferred a more intensive approach but quite a few people were there to study the subject in order to build their own confidence, via voice, whereas I just wanted the voice skills.

This course is great for understanding what is really going on with your voice and how your sound is made. The feedback you receive is excellent and your knowledge is built up over weeks with practical exercises.

The tutor gave thoughtful and well-structured tuition throughout the four weeks of the course. It was pitched at the right level for its length. I found the exercises and discussion helpful and informative. I am now certainly confident enough to try similar courses.

I am thoroughly enjoying the course. The teacher is excellent. She is fun and we are all enjoying it. She knows her trade very well. She is very accommodating. I enjoy the course so much that I don’t want it to end. We would all love to continue with level two unfortunately, the second level of the course runs in the afternoon. I have other courses I am studing at City Lit and am also enjoying it. All the teacher at the college are wonderful. I would definitely recommend City Lit to friends and family.
