Course outline

What is the course about?

During the course you will learn about homeopathy and the types of conditions that a lay person can aim to treat as well as when best to refer to a professional homeopath. You will learn the basics of therapeutic prescribing for a variety of first aid conditions.

What topics will we cover?

- Homeopathic philosophy of healing/cure and good health
- What the vital force is in relation to homeopathic medicine
- The importance and use of remedy potencies
- How to match remedies and potency with symptoms.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

- Identify the basic principles of Homoeopathy
- Select an appropriate remedy for a minor ailment with confidence and insight
- Identify the application of some homoeopathic remedies
- Describe how a remedy is made.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Introductory level – no previous knowledge required. You are required to read short sentences, follow verbal instructions and extract information from handouts.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Using handouts and practical methods.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

None.

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

No.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
