Course outline

What is the course about?

This is a course for beginners to learn how to perform Indian Head Massage on friends and family. Learn how tension is held in the neck and shoulders. This course will show you how to help alleviate tension in these areas.

What topics will we cover?

- Full Indian Head massage routine
- History of Indian Head Massage
- Benefits of Indian Head Massage
- Contra indications and Safety ( when you can and cannot give Indian Haed Massage).

By the end of this course you should be able to:

- Perform Indian Head massage on friends and family
- Recognise how tension is held in the neck and shoulders
- Have an insight into the history and theory of Indian Head Massage
- Recognise the benefits of Indian Head Massage
Recognise when not to massage.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Introductory level. You are required to read and write short sentences, follow verbal instructions and extract information from handouts.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

This is a practical course involving lots of hands on experience and practics. There will be some short lectures and mini quizzes.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

No.

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

No.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.

How will I be able to give my views on the course?

Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses.
