What is the course about?

This course will introduce you to the Art of Traditional Thai Massage. You will learn how to work on the floor utilising pressing and stretching techniques. Learn how to give and receive massage with your hands, thumbs, knees, feet and elbows as well as Yoga type stretching.

What topics will we cover?

In this practical based course, you will be learning experientially how Thai Massage can benefit the giver and receiver as a whole. You will cover back and leg massage in side position, including hands and feet. You will also learn one or two simple stretches to accompany the area worked. You will also recognise (at introductory level) basic precautions prior to giving and receiving massage.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

- Perform a massage on the floor in side position
- Perform one or two Yoga-type stretches to accompany the area worked.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Introductory level - no previous knowledge required. You are required to read and write short sentences, follow verbal instructions and extract information from handouts.
