Continue to learn a variety of gentle meditative Chi Kung exercises using awareness and intention. The exercises are simple and creative and with practice will help to strengthen all the systems of the body, as well as having a calming effect on the mind.
The course will continue with some information on the key principles and philosophy of Chi Kung. It will cover a variety of gentle warm up exercises; Wu Chi stance; side to side movements; forward and back movements; exercises to heighten our experience of feeling the chi; static postures; chi kung walks; clearing exercises and meditation.

This is beginners course following on from Chi Kung and relaxation: beginners 1. Those with little or no experience are welcome to join.
You will need to be able to read and write short sentences; follow verbal instructions; observe and copy physical movements and have the ability to use spatial awareness within a group.

To assist us in providing a safe and healthy environment for you to exercise in please take a moment to consider the list below. If you have suffered from any of the conditions listed, please check with a medical practitioner whether it is suitable for you to undertake an exercise programme and bring a referral letter from your doctor to your tutor. If you have not checked, or if it is not suitable, please do not participate in an exercise or movement class.

- You will continue be taught through demonstration of the specific movements and active participation within a class setting
- The course tutor will also continue to use verbal instructions and explanations to correct postures this may include light touch to provide a basis for your daily practice.
You should wear loose comfortable clothing. Bring along a blanket/shawl or warm clothing for the relaxation period. Certain books will be recommended.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. Feedback and observation from the tutor. Level of participation and rate of achievement are largely dependent on personal daily practice. It is recommended that you keep a daily journal to record your personal experiences and learning.
Please complete the evaluation form at the end of your course. These are monitored and help us to continually improve our courses.
