I expected to be doing a Theory based class but the day included practical which installed the learning of the theory. I thought it would be much more about the History of yoga, but I did enjoy the day.

This course clarified for me areas of the yoga practice and theory that I had previously not fully understood. It has identified aspects of yoga that are not always taught in a practical yoga class and its link with mindfulness and meditation. It has helped me to identify how I will use yoga more effectively in the future. The exercises given were gentle and could be adapted for anyone.

I really enjoyed this course, and while through my own reading I was already aware of many of the topics covered it was incredibly beneficial to have them taught to me in a cohesive way and be able to ask for clarification or further information. The tutor was warm and had lots of experience, welcomed questions and shared personal yoga experiences, all of which helped make the day for me. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I am used to going to days and retreats at Triyoga, and read about this more theory-based course. It's a must for anyone a bit unsure about Patanjali, yoga schools, and indeed the whole idea of yoga apart from asana. It's a very good introduction to these themes, which will make my further reading more accessible. A balanced day of presentations, discussion and practice suitable for beginners, led by the knowledgeable and warm tutor. You can have a retreat for one day!

The course provided an overview of branches and schools of yoga, its philosophy and approach to human development. Lecturing was mixed with practical exercises. Very experienced and helpful teacher, her own manner and appearance was the best recommendation and encouragement for me to take up further yoga classes:) I would definitely recommend this course.
