Very good introduction to anthropology suitable for anyone interested learning the basic approach of the subject. Teacher was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his subject. Only downside was the reading list provided ahead of the course was pretty inaccessible given that books largely only available at the anthropology centre housed in the British Museum only open during office hours (unfortunate for us who work full time!) Overall all a very good course though which comes highly recommended.

The course is highly accessible but not simplistic; it includes fascinating reading material but it is possible to get a lot of the course by just attending the classes. Classes are fascinating - they cover many topics so it is highly likely that the course will cover areas you are really interested in. The course does manage to make students see the world differently afterward and to question more what is accepted as natural. There is quite a lot of discussion in the class so the format allow to really think through themes presented and the course content is very rich. The depth and breath of knowledge of the teacher is impressive so it would be difficult to get as much out of simply reading text books on the topic. I strongly recommend this course.

A dynamic tuition in addition to high quality presentations welcome the student to really enter the anthropology world. The globalized world we live in demands a lot of flexibility and respect to understand better the societies and cultures surrounding us. A course to improve everyone as citizen, persons and professionals.
