You will also have the opportunity to sit a level 1 national literacy test.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This course is not suitable for students whose first language is not English.
This is an introductory creative writing course but you need:
a desire to write
an interest in using words in a creative way

You will be able to read short pieces of text, take part in discussions and write in paragraphs.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Short writing exercises in class; whole and small group discussions; reading and discussion of your writing; writing games. Some writing tasks will also be set as homework.
