What is the course about?

This course involves viewing and discussing a broad selection of key films from across the world by prominent film directors of the last century. During the course students will consider the context in which these films were made, how they were received by film critics at the time and their enduring impact to this day. The films under discussion are still considered to be seminal works and favoured by film critics, students and enthusiasts alike. Films under observation include Citizen Kane, Rebel Without a Cause, La Dolce Vita and Belle du Jour.

What feedback will I get?
