my first impression of the tutor was that she was a little scary but i soon grew to appreciate her no nonsense approach to travel writing. her teaching is firm, concise, honest and not without humour. she has a wealth of knowledge in her subject and is very supportive and encouraging towards her students. topics covered were structure, content, various do's and donts, disscussion on photography along with stimulating and fun group exercises. i got a lot out of this course as i hadnt a clue about the basic rules of travel writing and now understand where i was going wrong in previous efforts. not for the faint hearted but highly recommended.
