Having just started the Arabic beginners' class on Thursday evenings, this course came at the right time to help me get to a stage where I feel more confident with the Arabic alphabet and the new range of sounds I need to absorb. Just right!

As a complete beginner I was a little daunted by the idea of trying out such a different language, but it was all explained and demonstrated in a clear and logical way. I found out how to write my name and came away with plenty to practice on and carry on learning.

Learning just the alphabet is an easy way into arabic language. Course was engaging throughout, time flew by. I felt quite proud of myself afterwards about learning something! Plan to move onto a more intensive Arabic language course, as this preparation has given me the confidence. :)

Excellent teaching but it would be useful for the student to have some pre course knowledge, Some students seemed familiar with the script, others weren't. It would be helpful if the pre course info clarified if for beginners or more advanced students.

I think the description for the course needs to be changed, as it is really aimed at complete beginners. One hour of the class looked into the history of the Arabic language and contained no writing practice, and the class did not progress any further than writing their names.

Although the tutor was very good for those who were complete beginners, there was little opportunity for those at a higher level to practice writing or get guidance/feedback on letters they found particularly difficult.

£26 seems quite a lot of money for a few handouts. The course would benefit from being split into different levels; and most definitely should be pitched to beginners only.

Very good teacher, to the point, but 2 hours is not enough, but enough to make me decide to carry on learning arabic. hopefully you'll have a beginners class in january.
