Great, friendly, patient and encouraging teacher. Materials are topic-centred and "bite sized"; enough to build on existing learning but fresh enough to retain interest. You need to put in time to do homework/revise to get most out of this. Great value for money compared to more formal courses, and more fun - I don't think I'd have kept up otherwise!!

[The tutor] is a fantastic teacher. She keeps the class alive with fun exercises which encourage us to practice speaking Mandarin. We cover a lot of new material yet she makes Mandarin fun and easy to learn.

Excellent lessons progressing in a very organic way, theoretically I should now be able to book tickets for a trip around China at the railway station/Chinese travel agents without having to resort to the English queue!

Very supportive and encouraging tutor

A demanding course not for the faint-hearted. The teacher is pleasant and helpful, and if you put in the study time, it is very rewarding.

Just the right pace - challenging but not too difficult, and plenty of opportunities to speak and revise our understanding.
