A very useful way of reviving the grammar and vocabulary learned in school and moving towards spoken French.

Having started with 'French 2 lower' 18 months ago and working through to 'French 2 upper module 2' I have found this a very useful way of reviving GCE 'O' level french from many years ago, and of building confidence in speaking the language. Most people will recall the effort in school was on the written language, and aimed to give a foundation in grammar and vocabulary. These courses present an opportunity to move towards speaking the language. Ideally some pursuits away from the class, such as watching french films, or series such as 'Spiral' help significantly, to become more familiar with the sound of the words and construcion. The quality of teaching is excellent, and effort is made to improve spoken knowledge of the order and use of all the little words -- the pronouns, negatives, and the correct use of the more common tenses.

No chance to sit back and be lazy on this course! Lots of verbal and written exercises during fast-paced classes covering, step by step, aspects of grammar in a friendly conversational way. Very enjoyable and I felt pushed all the time.
