‘Dualchas àraid agus luachmhor’ are words from the haunting chorus of a modern Gaelic song called 'Cùm ur n’aire'. They mean ‘a precious and unique heritage’, and learning Gaelic opens up that heritage to you. You don’t just learn the language in City Lit’s Gaelic classes, but the whole way of living and thinking that’s been bound up with it. By learning Gaelic you’ll not just add to your language skills and your way of looking at the world, but you’ll also help to preserve one of Europe’s most precious and endangered languages. Suas leis a’ Ghàidhlig! (up with the Gaelic!)
