The course was spoilt by the venue (Stukely Street) which was thoroughly unsuitable. The room was small, the desks were jammed together, perforce, along the back wall to face the board: at both ends view of the board was restricted by the angle and/or the teacher. The walls were pretty transparent to sound. Ventilation was poor. The computer/projector was erratic and we probably did not have as much listening from our course work as we should have had. The cramped conditions were particularly bad because the course used 2 large A4 course books, and we needed notebooks and dictionaries, apart from the hand-outs. The final session at the School of Fashion underlined how much the location for the rest of the year had detracted from my enjoyment and to some extent my progress, as I found it very difficult to conecentrate at Stukely St. I do not want to attend a class there again.

I had a very good experience on this German language course. The students were friendly and keen to get on and learn. There was alot of German conversation about interesting topics, and some exploring of more advanced grammar. There was also emphasis on new vocabulary.
