This course under its current teacher is proving so popular that it is becoming very difficult to get in. Thanks to an outstanding teacher, interesting materials, lots of participation, extra homework topics, and good use of Moodle, as well as a lively atmosphere, it is no wonder that City Lit could probably run this course several times over. Level required minimum A level, and a willingness to join in the conversation.

I would like to praise this course to the skies, but if I do, so many people will want to enrol there may be no place for me! Seriously, though, it is so good that I try and enrol every year, since, being called Italia Oggi there is always something new. We cover everything from news, politics, history, literature, poetry, and we are all encouraged to participate fully, as well as make our own short presentations to the class. The teacher is excellent, always ready to mark written homework, and to find interesting materials, which we can visit again on the City Lit Moodle. You do need to be enthusiastic, have a good level of spoken Italian and a thirst to know more about present day Italy.

Very good and committed teacher. I enjoy every minute of it, even if it is very late in the day after a day's work. I sometimes would like to go more into depth of certain subjects but I suppose that there is no time.
