Started the course in September as an absolute beginner and was impressed from the start by the energy, enthusiasm and excellent teaching skills of our tutor.

The tutor's use of clever teaching aids, exercises and graphics works well to implant the key points.

By just attending the class and completing the homework tasks I have kept up. A bit of extra effort is needed outside of class to learn the hiragana and katakana alphabets but the use of these is phased in gradually to give students time to learn.

Most of all, the course is enjoyable. Teaching methods are varied and engaging and the course is well paced. Highly recommended and excellent value for money.

This course is a continuation of what was started in September, and is an excellent all-round introduction to this language.
With careful emphasis on both speaking and listening, we practised and regularly revised basic themes, grammar and vocabularly of Japanese - a language which has to be one of the world's most difficult to learn!
Thanks to skillful instruction and bountiful encouragement, the tutor made the course easy and fun to take part in.
We also learned to read and write in two of three Japanese scripts, and were provided with ample opportunity to practise and improve our skills here.
