A very enjoyable half-day course (four hours, I think) that covers a lot of topics for the business traveller / holidaymaker / visitor to Japan.

How to present your business card correctly, a guide to Japanese food, the intricasies of the transport system, some basic geography, the difference between a temple and a shrine. All this, and lots more, covered in a fun and engaging manner.

I really enjoyed my afternoon (though I don't think I'll ever understand all the rules regarding shoes!). There are plenty of handouts on each topic, so no need to sit there scribbling furiously - you can just listen and discuss with your fellow students safe in the knowledge that you won't have forgotten it all when you get home!

For the price of a few guidebooks, I'd really recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting (or with an interest in) Japan.
