This is a lively intermediate course which concentrates on developing fluency as well as listening, reading and writing skills. Grammar will be revised. Based on Communicate in Greek 2.

Students should have studied 2-3 years or completed stage 3 Module 1. There is the option of taking the GCSE exam in May 2007. For further details of the specific foreign language skills required for this level, please see the languages self-assessment chart, using the link at the top of this page. You can also find the chart at the start of the languages section in our course guide. You will also need to be able to understand basic spoken and written information in English (e.g. simple instructions, course documents) and be at ease with the use of numbers for daily activities (e.g. using money, telling the time etc).
Communicative method. Using course book, class discussions, audio-visual materials and GCSE tasks. Role plays, group and pair work.
