Enjoyable mix of talking, watching videos and practising grammar points. Lots of subjunctives at this level (no surprises there). Regular reading/grammar homework helps you to consolidate what you learn.

Our teacher regularly showed us news of contemporary Spain (often with serious themes); we read a play by Lorca, with plenty of backup information on the characters and themes,played games, had many class discussions, and grammar with lots of homework to reinforce it. For me personally it was challenging but almost always fun.
