The Sunday Classical Ensemble is a great way to meet like minded people and theirs time to get to know the others in the class. The class is mixed ability and the tutor catered for this! The classical pieces varied from fun pieces (“Telstar”...I think we sounded better then the original!) to ones which would push everybody‘s envelope. More importantly the lessons were fun and in a relaxing atmosphere. The classes encouraged you to get into groups to talk about and organise who is playing what. So I (and partner) was asked to play the “bass notes” and others in the ensemble played the melody. Having a partner was a great help, when it came to the difficult pieces. After the four weeks I was very happy with the results. I liked what I was playing, and had a great sense of satisfaction knowing one has mastered a tricky piece of music. What a great way to spend Sunday morning/afternoon. The course finishes with a concert and were your nearest and dearest are invited. The classes finish just in time for a lunch/drink at the local! The course concert ended with smiles on everybody! I thoroughly recommend the course. When’s the next one?
