Students will develop Ukulele technique which will be applied to standard tunes. They will also explore the chord theory at this level.
Students will learn new tricks on the Ukulele, chord theory and split strokes.
By the end of the course you should be able to:
- play new chord patterns
- improve picking technique
- learn split strokes
- apply this knowledge to a tune of their choice.
This course is for intermediate and advanced students. You will need to follow written and verbal instructions in English and engage in class discussions.
Students will learn in a group. The tutor will give feedback and practical demonstrations of the technique taught in each session.
Bring your own Ukulele. The tutor can provide an instrument if you do not have one.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made. Your progress will be regularly assessed and monitored by your tutor taking into account class work and homework where appropriate. The tutor will record your progress and provide informal, regular feedback throughout the course. At the end of your study programme you will be asked to self-assess your own progress and achievement against the course objectives above. The tutor will endorse your assessment which will be formally recorded on a standard form (the Statement of Learning).
