To build confidence and vocal technique appropriate to contemporary styles of singing.
Each session will comprise a physical warm-up and technical exercises to build a support for the voice, followed by learning one or two songs and negotiating musical issues that arise. Mostly group singing, but solo singing will be featured.

- Study musicianship relevant to pop singing.
You must be able to sing in tune, and have the desire to sing in public. This is an introductory course, so no other experience is necessary.
You will be singing in groups, large, small and solo, with tutor demonstration, tutor feedback and a performance to the class.
Music materials will be supplied. You may find it useful to record the sessions.

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
