I came to the course a complete novice and was not sure what to expect. I had little classical music background but from the start of the course i was hooked. The tutor (sorry I forget her name) is absolutely brilliant. I came away from that course with so much love for classical music that i listen to nothing else. The course was lively, informative and certainly worth every penny. If you want to develop your love for classical music I can certainly recommend this course without any reservation.

The course is comprehensive and very satisfying. The tutor is highly skilled and encourages all to participate. She starts each class with a 'recap' and suggests useful reading. There is a cooperative atmosphere in the class. I'll be back here next year!

I am thoroughly enjoying this course. It's taught with much humour and powerful insights. I knew next to nothing about music but the emphasis was on understanding and I was helped to access quite difficult ideas and terminology. The tutor is a fantastic teacher, always fascinating and frequently very funny, sharing insights drawn not just from music but art, history and politics I didn't keep up with the listening homework and am seriously considering doing the course again to fill the gaps. Thoroughly recommended and unforgettable.
