Course outline

What is the course about?

An Introduction to the method of achieving consistent colour across Computer monitors, Printers, scanners and file output.

What topics will we cover?

The ICC system of Colour Management of digital images.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

- Recognise the need for colour spaces in a colour managed workflow
- Create a monitor profile using the Gretag Macbeth system
- Create a printer profile using the Gretag Macbeth system.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

An introduction for people wishing to improve the colour accuracy and consistency of their digital images.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Demonstrations, talks, slide presentations, handouts and practical exercises.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

There are no extra costs.

Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol?

No.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.
