The course covered most aspects of photographing people, explaining styles and technique and giving us plenty of time to practise on each other in the studio which was both fun and a really good way to learn. The course is not for novices but there is good explanation of aperture etc for those who are less familiar with the principles. The practice was mainly of techniques where people are willing to pose - in an ideal world it would also have covered persuading people to be photographed and candid shots.

Unsure

As the tutor was the perfect mix of enthusiasm, knowledge and patience .... only matter for me was the content which was slightly aimed more towards the beginner end of the spectrum than I was perhaps anticipating when I signed up. Perhaps an initial beginners / advanced course split might help going forward - although the overall group did naturally by the end evolve into subgroups.
Can't fault the on site studio equipment and as a studio refresher the course did work well.
Made some good photography friends from the course too so overall more positives than negatives.

This course covers a lot of much needed information. A lot of good and fun exercises during the day. I got a lot out of this course and I really didn't want it to be over after only three sessions.
The teacher is great. Clear, firm and a good sense of humor.

This course squeezes a lot of ground into a short time. It starts with a refresher on the basics of exposure, before moving on to practical work both on the street and in the studio, covering different types of lighting. As the course is accessible to absolute beginners, I found the first session around exposure a little slow, compressing the later practical work. However, the fun of working with the studio setup (which I'd not done before) more than made up for that. An excellent, fun, course.
